bbpress plugin: SEO Tools

BBpress has no functions for search engine optimization at the moment. This plugin will optimize your forum on the most important places. The plugin will rewrite your page titles and will add meta descriptions and meta tags. Furthermore the SEO plugin will add no-index information to the forums index pages to minimize the content duplication. The plugin is based on the idea of the All in One SEO Pack for Wordpress from Michael Torbert.

Since using this plugin, our forum has been indexed by Google in a much better way and the organic traffic is much higher than before!

Installation

1. Don't use this plugin if your permalink type is NOT name based!
2. Download the plugin here.
3. Upload the file bb-seo-tools.php into the /my-plugins/ directory
   If you don't have a /my-plugins/ directory in your bbpress installation, just create one in your bbpress root directory.
4. Login as an administrator and activate the plugin via Site Management -> Plugins

Configuration

1. Optimize your forums page titles and meta tags.
2. Switch other options on/off to optmize your forum for search engines.
